April on Lake Fork signals the start of some of the best big fish opportunities of the entire year.  With  the recent cold fronts and relentless wind that seems to be an everyday occurrence on Lake Fork, the early spawning movement that normally begins in the month of March, was almost non-existent. That can only mean big bass everywhere during April-May playing catch-up in the spawning ritual.

While the majority of spawning activity takes place around the full moon phase, some of the best fishing occurs as the fish move into and out of spawning areas.  At Ron Shuffield's Lake Fork Guide Service, I will keep my clients in the best areas possible for catching the fish of a lifetime.  All days not booked with clients, are spent searching for the best areas and most productive patterns in various areas of Lake Fork.
